Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>A report on \u201cthe politics of the 2022 general elections in Angola\u201d, carried out by Angolan researchers and a Norwegian, was presented this Tuesday, in Luanda, by the Jean Piaget University.<\/b><\/p>\n

The research took place in 2022 and aimed to carry out an analysis of the period before the election and the moment of publication of the results.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the ceremony, held in the municipality of Viana, the coordinator of the Angola and Norway research programme, Vegad Bye, stressed that a very rigorous study had been carried out of the electoral programmes, interviews with representatives of political parties, analysis of observation of media coverage and participation in election rallies.<\/p>\n

Present at the act, the president of the UNITA Parliamentary Group, Liberty Chyaka, considered the document a contribution to the academic and civic field, for the consolidation and deepening of a democratic state based on the rule of law.<\/p>\n

The MPLA deputy, Ma\u0301rio Pinto de Andrade, appealed to the political parties, in their speeches, to avoid denigrating the work done by public institutions and to contribute to a more harmonious society.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, jurist Domingos Betico considered it normal for educational institutions to take initiatives of this kind, due to their concern with the phenomena that occur in societies, including Angola.<\/p>\n
