Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>About two hundred and twenty artists residing in the country and abroad received their professional cards.<\/b><\/p>\n

These are writers, musicians, dancers, sound designers, among others, who are already legally qualified to carry out cultural activities in the country.<\/p>\n

The information was provided, this Saturday, by the chairman of the Artist’s Professional License Commission, Maneco Vieira Dias, on the sidelines of a meeting with artists from Huambo province, aimed at clarifying the process for obtaining this document.<\/p>\n

According to the person in charge, the cards have been issued and delivered since the beginning of 2022, within the process that aims to benefit all professional artists in the country.<\/p>\n

In addition to these documents, others will be delivered in the coming days.<\/p>\n

He appealed to artists residing in the country and abroad to apply for their professional card, as it is a legal instrument that will allow them to open up other professional horizons and benefit from their retirement pension.<\/p>\n

For his part, the delegate of the National Union of Artists and Composers \u2013 Society of Authors (UNAC-SA) in Huambo, Benvindo Serafim, considered the meeting useful, as it allowed clarification due to artists in the province on the procedures for obtaining the license professional.<\/p>\n

He informed that UNAC in Huambo province controls more than 800 artists, 30 of which already have their professional cards.<\/p>\n
