Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The deputy governor for the political, social and economic sector of Lunda Norte province, Frederico Barroso, called this Wednesday, in Dundo, to local Human Rights committees for greater proactivity and dynamism in preventing and combating the violation of rights fundamental rights of citizens.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to Frederico Barroso, who was speaking at the opening of the Conference of Local Committees on Human Rights, promoted by the Ministry of Justice, the Angolan State is a country seriously committed to human dignity and social justice.<\/p>\n

He underlined that human rights in Angola were elevated to the category of national security matters, which demonstrates the concern and\/or commitment of the Angolan Government to continue building a country where everyone has the same rights and opportunities.<\/p>\n

To continue to boost the fight against human rights violations in Lunda Norte, the creation of communal committees is in perspective. Currently, the province has ten Local Human Rights Committees.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, he informed that the Conference aims to train the members of the local committees and civil society, in ways to obtain valences that will allow them to carry out their tasks with quality.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe hope that from this conference more robust committees will emerge, capable of taking care of human rights in their area of \u200b\u200bjurisdiction with the maximum care they deserve, in order to overcome those situations that embarrass individual and collective well-being\u201d, he stressed.<\/p>\n

During the conference, the action plan to prevent and combat trafficking in human beings, institutional relationship between local human rights committees and municipal administrations will be analyzed.<\/p>\n

The event, promoted by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, aims to find mechanisms to prevent and combat human trafficking in the country, especially along the borders with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).<\/p>\n

According to the program sent this Monday, bodies involved in the administration of justice, MININT professionals, members of the Local Human Rights Committee, technicians for identifying and referring victims of human trafficking will participate in the event. humans.<\/p>\n
