Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Members of the Angolan Women’s League (LIMA) defended this Wednesday, in Luanda, the need for greater investment in human capital, for the country’s sustainable development.<\/b><\/p>\n

Members of LIMA, UNITA’s women’s organization, also defended the need to consolidate democracy and peace.<\/p>\n

The position was taken at the round table on \u201cUNITA and the challenges of consolidating democracy and sustainable development\u201d, promoted within the framework of the 57th anniversary of the founding of the party organization, marked on the 13th.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, speaker Alice Sapalalo Chivemba considered it essential to promote an inclusive social project, based on the rule of law, and the promotion of sustainable development.<\/p>\n

She spoke of the need to empower families to strengthen gender equity, giving women the opportunity to become autonomous in decision-making.<\/p>\n

Corroborating the idea, engineer Ariane Nhami, another lecturer, said that democratic societies only materialize with truly democratic parties, a practice that, in her opinion, guarantees the vitality of UNITA.<\/p>\n

He stated that sustainable development involves valuing families, mainly through the emancipation of women in social and professional life.<\/p>\n

Ariane Nhami advised greater openness to dialogue and the implementation of inclusive public policies, respect for freedoms and human rights.<\/p>\n

University professor Cesaltina Antonieta Kulanda, another lecturer, defended the value of dialogue for a greater understanding of the problems of the different regions of the country and the adoption of policies that contribute to improving the quality of life of citizens.<\/p>\n

Cesaltina Kulanda considers it essential to massify local languages \u200b\u200band national identity values \u200b\u200bto facilitate communication and understanding among Angolans.<\/p>\n

Esmeraldina Violeta Gomes confirms the need for policies that protect the family and women, in particular, for the effective promotion of democracy and sustainable development.<\/p>\n

Present at the event, Esmeraldina Gomes, lecturer, advised greater agricultural investment for the harmonious development of cities, as well as due attention to infrastructure such as roads, to facilitate the flow of production.<\/p>\n

Appreciation of municipalities<\/p>\n

On the sidelines of the round table, UNITA’s secretary general, A\u0301lvaro Chikwamanga Daniel, said he believed that local authorities could be an essential lever for the harmonious development of communities and regions of the country, by increasing investor confidence.<\/p>\n

He said that UNITA will continue to promote dialogue with other parties and society, for the need to carry out autarchy, whose municipal legislative package is in the National Assembly, for debate and approval.<\/p>\n
