Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of Planning and Economy (MEP), Ma\u0301rio Caetano Joa\u0303o, informed this Wednesday, in Luanda, that the country will hold, this year, several economic events, after Expo-Indu\u0301stria\/2023, as part of the promotion from “made in Angola” producers. <\/b><\/p>\n

These are events linked to the textile industry called ” Angola Fashion Summer “, scheduled for next April, and the ” Renewable Energies” Forum, this for the following month, May.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the sidelines of Expo-Indu\u0301stria\/2023, which opened this Thursday, the official also pointed out, among other events, FILDA\/2023, the country’s biggest economic showcase, scheduled for this semester.<\/p>\n

For Ma\u0301rio Caetano, the MEP is not only looking at the secondary sector, but also at national production, \u201cbecause it is only with the primary sector that the country can have industries\u201d.<\/p>\n

Expo shows potential<\/p>\n

At the same event, the Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino Azevedo, considered Expo-Indu\u0301stria\/2023 as being important for the entire economy of the country, since it exposes the potential of the extractive industry.<\/p>\n

After the inauguration of Expo-Indu\u0301stria\/2023, by the President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, the minister underlines that the event shows the industrial business fabric of the country, with emphasis on the sector of mineral resources, including oil and gas.<\/p>\n

Diamantino Azevedo said that the Expo could contribute to economic diversification, to greater economic growth and more development for the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt will contribute to improving the quality of life of the population. We have seen here some companies that are exhibiting their products based on mineral resources. It is an opportune moment for the sector\u201d, he pointed out.<\/p>\n

While a specific exhibition for the sector has not been proposed, companies in the sector have been present at various events that are promoted both internally and externally.<\/p>\n

At the Industry showcase there are around 338 exhibitors from seven provinces of the country, whose products are linked to the transformation industry, engineering and civil construction, as well as the food industry and agribusiness.<\/p>\n

To participate in the fair, the minimum amount charged for the space is in the order of 320,000 kwanzas for a “stand” of nine square meters, with a 20% discount being established for companies from other regions, that is, outside Luanda.<\/p>\n

Expo-indu\u0301stria had a three-year interregnum, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n

The objective of the event is to make industries increase new partnerships and businesses, for more jobs and the improvement of living conditions of populations.<\/p>\n
