Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>An exhibition of plastic arts alluding to the International Day in Memory of the Victims of the Transatlantic Slave Trade will be on display in Luanda from Wednesday<\/b><\/p>\n

Speaking to the press, for the launch of the event, the person in charge of the event, Marcos Agostinho, said that the exhibition will count, among others, with the presence of Angolan artists Oxa\u0302na Dias and De\u0301bora Suanjai, as well as three North American artists.<\/p>\n

The exhibition will be on display until the 15th of May at the gallery located in Shopping Fortaleza, in the urban district of Ingombota, with around two dozen pieces.<\/p>\n

“The international dimension visual art exhibition will portray, in a gesture of homage, women who contributed to the fight against slavery, with emphasis on Queen Njinga”, he highlighted.<\/p>\n

According to the official, the objective is to salute the International Day in Remembrance of the Victims of the Transatlantic Slave Trade (March 25) and commemorate the Day of Peace.<\/p>\n

For this purpose, the artists are preparing more than a dozen pieces in artistic residence, where the highlight is the participation of several women, with emphasis on the Sovereign Queen Ginga Mbandi.<\/p>\n
