Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The pastor of the Assembly of God Pentecostal Ministry Maranata Church, in Cunene province, Cristino Catambue, considered this Monday that social peace was the main focus of the 21 years of the silence of arms in the country.<\/b><\/p>\n

In a statement, on the subject of the 21st anniversary of peace in Angola, to be marked on Tuesday, April 4th, he said that social peace is the most important thing in this process that united Angolans from Cabinda to Cunene.<\/p>\n

The prelate said that the free movement of people and goods was not possible, but people are currently moving from one place to another.<\/p>\n

“The country is big looking at the economic situation it is experiencing, development in all sectors is not easy, but we believe that we will have other advances over time”, he said.<\/p>\n

Looking at the peacekeeping process, he said it was fundamental that young people think about the consequences that the war caused, and avoid immediacy, keep calm and take care of that peace that cost so much in the lives of Angolans.<\/p>\n

Cristino Catambue said that the date should serve as a reflection for changing awareness and thinking about how to contribute to the improvement of living conditions for all Angolans and to achieve a healthy society.<\/p>\n

As a partner of the State, he said that the church will continue to intensify the mission of moralizing Angolan society, for the transformation of the citizen, in the sense of being an honest man, peacemaker, and not excelling in violence.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe bible teaches us that a man of God and well prepared, can transform society\u201d he reasoned.<\/p>\n

Under the motto: \u201c21 years of peace – building a better Angola\u201d, peace in Angola resulted from the Complementary Memorandum of Understanding to the Lusaka Protocol, signed between the Angolan Government and UNITA, on April 4, 2002, in the city of Luena, province of Moxico.<\/p>\n
