Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Angolan writer Francisco Quissanga, author of the literary work entitled \u201cAngola Reconciliada\u201d suggested, on Monday, in Luena, Moxico province, the creation of a Superior Institute of Peace, to train national and international researchers on mediation of conflicts.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to Francisco Quissanga, who was speaking to press, as part of the launch of a social project called “Angola Reconciliada”, the said institute aims to promote studies on the process of national reconciliation and preservation of peace in the country and in the Community of Countries Development Agency for Southern Africa (SADC).<\/p>\n

\u201cIf there is a Higher School of War, there must also be another School or Higher Institute for the study of Peace\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

According to the academic, Angola is seen as a country of forgiveness and reconciliation, “a fact that was proven with the recent recognition of the President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, as champion of peace on the continent”, he maintained.<\/p>\n

On the social project “Angola Reconciliada”, he said that it focuses on the materialization of the actions of the book with the same title, with the aim of avoiding the index of hatred and political intolerance in the country, through the reinforcement of the message of unity between Angolans and good coexistence.<\/p>\n

According to the academic, for the realization of the project, he will be able to pass the content of the work to the opinion leaders of the communities, and consequently, this fragment of society will be able to spread the message of Peace and National Reconciliation, throughout the national territory, with lectures and colloquia.<\/p>\n

The city of Luena, capital of the province of Moxico, hosted the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Angolan Government and UNITA, allowing the achievement of peace in the country, on April 4, 2002.<\/p>\n
