Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The firm commitment of the Angolan government to road and rail infrastructure has been boosting the development of the national economy in recent years, said this Friday, in Benguela, Brazilian engineer Janilson Arau\u0301jo.<\/b><\/p>\n

Living in Angola for 18 years, Janilson Arau\u0301jo, a Brazilian civil engineer, spoke about the 21 years of peace in Angola, marked on April 4, considering that transport infrastructures are boosting the economy, generating development for the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople say that, first, the road arrives and then the development follows, because the entrepreneur does not invest, if he has no way of disposing of the production\u201d, he points out, recognizing that the roads interconnect the country \u201cfrom side to side\u201d, enabling the free movement of people and goods.<\/p>\n

Hence Janilson Arau\u0301jo believe that all Angolans felt the effect of peace.<\/p>\n

\u201cMoving freely is the greatest example that a country is at peace, being one nation and one people as the National Anthem itself says\u201d, he observes.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I arrived here, in 2005, I found a country still in the process of national reconstruction and I am very privileged to participate and see how much Angola has grown\u201d, said the consultant for companies in the civil construction sector engaged in structuring works, such as the knot Kilamba-Camama road, in Luanda.<\/p>\n

The Brazilian engineer emphasizes the idea that transport infrastructure is the first step to boost the Angolan economy, mainly hotels, agriculture and industry.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe see many industries being implemented and there is a dynamic in agribusiness. But this is all due to infrastructure\u201d, emphasizes Janilson Arau\u0301jo, who encourages the Angolan authorities to maintain this policy of looking at infrastructure, such as roads, railways, ports, airports, water and energy.<\/p>\n

The interviewee has no doubts that it is \u201ca Herculean exercise\u201d that the Angolan Government has been carrying out over the last few years, because, as he noted, there are many things that need to be done and resources are generally scarce.<\/p>\n

For him, infrastructures, although implying large public investments, will also help in combating the \u201cregional asymmetries\u201d faced by the populations in the interior of the country, namely in the Central Plateau, East and South, with emphasis on Cunene .<\/p>\n

At the moment, he says he feels privileged to know the 18 provinces of Angola, as he has worked on various projects mainly linked to road infrastructure, such as the road junctions in Luanda, on the expressway, and the rehabilitation of the National Road EN120.<\/p>\n

In another part of the interview, the Brazilian engineer also spoke of the Executive’s vision of boosting renewable energy sources, with the installation of photovoltaic plants, despite the existence of several hydroelectric dams.<\/p>\n

\u201cAngola is a very blessed country, because it has everything and now it just needs management\u201d, he points out, calling on citizens to have a little patience and collaborate in preserving everything that has already been done in 21 years of peace.<\/p>\n
