Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of State and Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic, Ada\u0303o de Almeida, witnessed Friday, in the city of Tallinn (Estonia), the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding that reinforces cooperation between the republics of Angola and Estonia, in terms of digital governance and administrative modernization.<\/b><\/p>\n

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding was the main component of the working visit to Tallinn, capital of Estonia, by an Angolan delegation led by Minister of State Ada\u0303o de Almeida.<\/p>\n

The delegation included the secretary of the President of the Republic for State Reform, Pedro Fiete, the director general of the Institute of Administrative Modernization (IMA), Meick Afonso, diplomats assigned to the Angolan embassy in Poland and technicians from the Auxiliary Bodies of the President of Republic.<\/p>\n

The Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries was initialed by the Director General of IMA and by the Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs and Communications of the Republic of Estonia.<\/p>\n

The Minister of State and Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic of Angola, Ada\u0303o de Almeida, witnessed the formal signing ceremony, flanked by the Estonian Minister of Entrepreneurship and Information Technology, Krstjan Jarvan.<\/p>\n

On the basis of the document now signed, the parties undertake to strengthen cooperation in the various matters related to digital governance, administrative modernization and training of staff in the specialty, considering the experience and technological potential of the host country, whose digitization rate of public services is 99 percent, the result of 20 years of investments and changes in processes.<\/p>\n

During the 24-hour visit, the Angolan delegation visited economic and social objectives and verified the level of digitization and modernization of public services in a country that constitutes an important reference in the processes of dematerialisation, bureaucratisation and digitization of Public Administration.<\/p>\n
