Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The first secretary of the MPLA in Huambo, Lotti Nolika, reaffirmed Saturday, the continuous commitment of the Angolan Government to the creation of academic and technical-professional training programs, for the rapid insertion of young people in the job market.<\/b><\/p>\n

The party official was speaking at the end of a march, promoted by the youth of the Central Plateau in support of peace, with a route of approximately four kilometers, passing through some of the main arteries of the city of Huambo.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, Lotti Nolika said that the Angolan Government, supported by the MPLA, is committed to responding to the demands of the youth, through the implementation of various socio-economic programs, reflected in the capacity for innovation, to allow the expansion of employability in the different sectors of the rural and urban environment.<\/p>\n

According to the policy, after achieving peace on April 4, 2022, the country will face countless challenges, with the transformation of minefields into agricultural production areas and other social projects.<\/p>\n

At the level of Huambo province, Lotti Nolika said that the implementation of several social infrastructures that had already been inaugurated and others under construction that could come into operation this year for the good of the population, such as the Integrated Technological Training Centers (CIFOTEC ), Cultural and Training of Journalists (CEFOJOR).<\/p>\n

He informed that more than 30,000 young people attend higher education in various public and private institutions in Huambo province, as well as another 72,000 are enrolled in secondary education, as a result of investment by the Angolan Government.<\/p>\n

Therefore, he recalled that young people are called to preserve peace, fearlessly, as they are the driving force in the defense of sovereignty, territorial integrity and the noblest aspirations of the Angolan people.<\/p>\n

Before an audience made up of members of civil society, traditional authorities, religious entities and MPLA militants, Lotti Nolika condemned the use of violence, manipulation and radicalization of youth, who have always been at the forefront in the defense of peace and reconciliation national.<\/p>\n

However, he considered the youth’s aspirations to improve social conditions to be legitimate, hence the MPLA will continue to work in harmony with this social fringe, to intelligently find the best ways to satisfy their needs.<\/p>\n

In turn, the secretary of the Provincial Youth Council (CPJ) in Huambo province, Joa\u0303o Lara, expressed the interest of young people in academic and technical-professional training, as well as involvement in sports, social, cultural and entrepreneurial activities, to preserving peace and promoting socio-economic development.<\/p>\n

It was on April 4, 2002, that the Government and UNITA signed, in the city of Luena, Moxico province, the most consistent peace agreement in the country’s history, opening space for the emergence of a new and united Angola, after 27 years of war, which caused thousands of deaths, displacement, orphans and widows, as well as the destruction of various infrastructures.<\/p>\n
