Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Two new classrooms equipped with desks and blackboards were handed over this Monday by Somoil to the Municipal Administration of Soyo, province of Zaire, as part of the social responsibility of this oil company.<\/b><\/p>\n

With the handover of these two classrooms to primary school No. 104 in Pangala (Soyo), the institution went from five to seven classrooms and increased its absorption capacity from 300 to 600 students in two periods.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, the chairman of Somoil’s board of directors, Edson dos Santos, reiterated his company’s commitment to the construction and rehabilitation of more projects with a social impact on behalf of the local community.<\/p>\n

According to the official, the oil company is also rehabilitating the maternal and child center of the Catholic mission of Mpinda (Soyo) and, with its completion, should increase the capacity to serve users.<\/p>\n

The health unit will have four hospitalization rooms, a laboratory for clinical analyses, delivery and post port rooms, one for general medicine and one for pediatrics.<\/p>\n

The deputy municipal administrator of Soyo for the social and community area, Jose\u0301 Suca Londa, considered the oil company to be a \u201cgreat partner\u201d of the State in the implementation of various projects with a social impact in the region.<\/p>\n

Among the social projects already carried out by Somoil in the district, the deputy municipal administrator highlighted the construction of a school with six classrooms and drinking water supply systems in the communes of Sumba and Mangue Grande.<\/p>\n

He also referred to the support he has provided to the oil companies Angola LNG and Base do Kwanda, in the municipality of Soyo.<\/p>\n
