Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>In a match in which it was always ahead of the scoreboard, Petro de Luanda won 1.o de Agosto this Monday, by 97-74, and is one victory away from the revalidation of the title of the National Senior Men’s Basketball Championship, achieved in 2022.<\/b><\/p>\n

In “play-offs”, the best of five games, Petro has a 2-1 advantage and only needs to win the fourth game, at 6:30 pm on Wednesday to lift the cup again.<\/p>\n

In the first challenge, 1o de Agosto won by 76-71 and lost the second by 71-90.<\/p>\n

Today’s triumph began to be drawn in the first quarter, marked by failures in the scoring by 1.o de Agosto, who scored just six points in nine minutes of play against seventeen of the \u201ctricolors\u201c.<\/p>\n

More determined and effective in finishing, the defending champions left with a large advantage of 30-15.<\/p>\n

In the second quarter, with a margin of growth, the \u201cred-blacks\u201d, always at a disadvantage on the scoreboard, lost by 37-47.<\/p>\n

Carlos Morais made the difference at the beginning of the third quarter by scoring nine consecutive points, a situation that left sequels to the opponent making successive mistakes in overalls.<\/p>\n
