Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The National Police in the municipality of Mbanza Kongo, province of Zaire, this Monday detained an Angolan citizen accused of promoting and aiding illegal immigration.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to the spokesman for the Provincial Delegation of the Interior, Se\u0301rgio Afonso, the accused was detained at a shipyard located in the village of Siesie in the company of 10 citizens of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in an irregular migratory situation.<\/p>\n

He explained that one of the managers of the shipyard belonging to the company PMC, put himself to sleep when he realized the presence of the police on the spot.<\/p>\n

He informed that the aforementioned illegal immigrants from the DRC, five of whom were female, intended to reach the country’s capital, Luanda, by clandestine routes.<\/p>\n

They entered the national territory on Saturday through the Luvo land border, 60 kilometers north of the city of Mbanza Kongo.<\/p>\n

With the detainees, the National Police seized two mobile phones, 70 dollars, 27,000 kwanzas and 5,200 Congolese francs.<\/p>\n
