Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The country’s capital (Luanda) will not host international matches for an indefinite period, with the ban, starting this Thursday, of the 11 de Novembro stadium for complete rehabilitation and implementation of new services.<\/b><\/p>\n

The absence of international games without a defined deadline is due to the fact that the 11th of November, now banned by guidance from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, is the only sports property approved for competitions by CAF and FIFA.<\/p>\n

There is still no date for the start and end of the works, let alone the financial amounts to be involved, the disclosure of these data depends on the completion of the report by an inspection group set up to assess the degree of intervention.<\/p>\n

According to the National Director for Sports Policies, Nicolau Daniel, who was speaking at a press conference to announce the ban, all international matches will be transferred to the Tundavala stadium, in Hui\u0301la province, which still needs a final approval from CAF , next May.<\/p>\n

Thus, the citizens of Luanda may be deprived of the unprecedented debut of Petro de Luanda in the African Super League, scheduled for August, as well as the last duel of the National Team that faces Madagascar in September, for qualification to the 2024 CAN, in the Co\u0302te d’Azur. ‘Ivoire.<\/p>\n
