Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Seven hundred and fifty university and high school students are taking part, since this Thursday, in Benguela, in a multidisciplinary camp organized by JMPLA.<\/b><\/p>\n

Named APROJOVEM, the initiative, which is now in its second edition, after the first in 2011, is part of the Abril Jovem journey and brings together, for five days, representatives of the 10 municipalities of the province of Benguela.<\/p>\n

In addition to addressing the current socio-economic situation in the province of Benguela with several lecturers, the young people will also talk about issues of citizenship and patriotism in the context of youth (digital age), among other issues.<\/p>\n

At the opening, the MPLA’s first provincial secretary of Benguela, Lui\u0301s Nunes, said that the meeting aims to promote a dialogue and reflection together, about the enormous challenges that the youth face, in a perspective of the search for the best solutions.<\/p>\n

The politician considered of \u201cextreme importance\u201d the debates subordinated to several scheduled themes, hoping that they will be privileged means for the correct interpretation of the constraints that afflict society, especially the youth.<\/p>\n

He praised the initiative of JMPLA, this because the interaction between youth from different quarters of society opens doors to the inclusion and participation of all in solving social problems.<\/p>\n

The also provincial governor of Benguela hopes that the camp will bring young people into direct contact with the various actions that the Executive has carried out, with the aim of guaranteeing the improvement of the living conditions of the population.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe still have a lot to do, but only with the strength of the young class will we put our province of Benguela on the path to the development we desire\u201d, acknowledged Lui\u0301s Nunes, pointing to the numerous difficulties in the sectors of education, health, housing and employability.<\/p>\n

However, he said that the MPLA governance program for the five-year period 2022\/2027 contains actions that guarantee the sustainable development of the Angolan population, made up mostly of young people.<\/p>\n

In this sense, he highlighted the Executive’s programs aimed at developing skills and talents, on the one hand, and, on the other, youth entrepreneurship, thus creating a more favorable socioeconomic environment for the growth and success of young people.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Guilhermina Arau\u0301jo, JMPLA’s first provincial secretary of Benguela, warned the youth not to let themselves be carried away by populist actions, disruptive behavior and destruction of public goods, as this does not contribute to the consolidation of peace and the democratic rule of law. .<\/p>\n
