Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The deputy provincial governor of Benguela, Li\u0301dia Amaro, called this Friday for greater involvement of society in the implementation of the National Strategy Project for the Prevention and Repression of Corruption (ENAPREC).<\/b><\/p>\n

The official was speaking on behalf of the provincial governor of Benguela, Lui\u0301s Nunes, at the ENAPREC presentation ceremony, as part of the national public consultation process.<\/p>\n

Li\u0301dia Amaro, who is responsible for the Political, Social and Economic sector in the Provincial Government of Benguela, stated that each citizen must be a faithful interlocutor and reproducer in their area of \u200b\u200bresidence, family, professional and friendship circles, of the urgent need to combat corruption, for the sake of future generations.<\/p>\n

He considered prevention and repression as important elements for the reduction of corruption rates, bringing as social advantages the construction of schools, hospitals, roads, more water and houses for the populations.<\/p>\n

In his opinion, the fight against corruption can also contribute to balance the prices of the basic food basket and social assistance to citizens in a state of vulnerability.<\/p>\n

Disse que os resultados esta\u0303o reflectidos na subida do pai\u0301s nos rankings internacionais sobre a percepc\u0327a\u0303o da corrupc\u0327a\u0303o, saindo da posic\u0327a\u0303o 162 para a 116, o que reforc\u0327a a necessidade de todos contribui\u0301rem nesta senda.<\/p>\n

In the field of asset recovery and international cooperation, he underlined that the Angolan State was committed to a more active cooperation and, by way of example, in 2020, Angola issued 98 requests for international exchange in criminal matters against just seven in 2017.<\/p>\n
