Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The provincial deputy governor of Ui\u0301ge for the Political, Social and Economic sector, So\u0301nia Arlete, defended today, Monday, the need for all citizens to be activists in the repression and fight against corruption.<\/b><\/p>\n

So\u0301nia Arlete, who was speaking at the opening of the proposal for the presentation and consultation of the Draft National Strategy for the Prevention and Repression of Corruption (ENAPREC 2023-2028), said that the fight against corruption should be a task for all citizens.<\/p>\n

The ENAPREC project was prepared by the Technical Group, created by Presidential Order number 176\/19, of 21 October, in charge of carrying out studies and preparing proposals and mechanisms for the implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the workplace, in the family, public and private institutions, citizens must promote actions that fight corruption\u201d, he advised.<\/p>\n

He recalled that corruption is an evil that affects society and is practiced in almost all spheres of society, undermining the progress of many countries.<\/p>\n

In turn, the Provincial Justice delegate from Ui\u0301ge, Mankenda Vero\u0301nica, considered the ENAPREC project as a holistic approach to the phenomenon of corruption, its causes and consequences.<\/p>\n

The official also highlighted the need for the involvement of all sectors of national life in the implementation of anti-corruption policies and actions.<\/p>\n

The provincial delegate of the IGAE in Ui\u0301ge, Francisco Sobrinho, who presented the proposal, said that the aim was to improve, harmonize and extend the action plans to all state institutions, reduce the phenomenon of corruption in public institutions, deepen knowledge corruption, strengthen public and private sector involvement and improve the business environment.<\/p>\n

The meeting brought together municipal and deputy administrators, members of the provincial government, public and judicial prosecutors, public managers, the Bar Association, financial institutions, academics, religious and traditional entities.<\/p>\n

ENAPREC was launched recently, in Luanda, by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR), in coordination with the General Inspectorate of State Administration (IGAE) and the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights.<\/p>\n
