Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The company OMATAPALO, through Fazenda Mumba, dedicated to livestock production, expects to open an industrial slaughterhouse in Lubango, Hui\u0301la province, by the end of the year, with a slaughtering capacity capable of meeting the needs of the group and the breeders, in general.<\/b><\/p>\n

The information was given to the press Monday, in Lubango by the executive director of the company’s agribusiness, Nuno Paulo, after the inauguration of the first butcher shop at the Farm in the city of Lubango, carried out by the governor of Hui\u0301la, Nuno Mahapi .<\/p>\n

He declared that the Hui\u0301la industrial slaughterhouse will serve not only the group, but also other producers, interested business partners, allowing \u201ca service in hygienic-sanitary conditions and GLOBAL-GAP certification of the final product.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy the end of the year, we are going to open a certified slaughterhouse with the capacity to supply certified quality meat from the south to the whole country and to export\u201d, he reinforced.<\/p>\n

He pointed out that the farm has close to eight thousand heads of cattle, as well as a commitment to the production of grains (corn, soy, beans and wheat), fruits and vegetables, but cattle are the main product and the objective is to reach eight thousand and 500 tons\/year.<\/p>\n

Currently, according to the source, the group has a capacity of 600 tons\/year, whose market is the national one, but is planning to certify the meat, steps already underway, to think about exporting.<\/p>\n

In turn, the governor of Hui\u0301la Nuno Mahapi defended the need for more slaughterhouses with healthy conditions to be able to combat the problem of \u201cterrible conditions\u201d in which cattle are slaughtered in various parts of the province.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese conditions not only threaten public health, but encourage theft. That is why the creation of more slaughterhouses in Hui\u0301la is a permanent concern, as only then will this asset become real wealth for our families and the province will continue to grow\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

Company invests a billion dollars to open the butcher shop<\/p>\n

At least one billion dollars were invested by the company OMATAPALO, in the opening of its first butchery at Fazenda Mumba, money that was used for the construction and reconstruction of an existing structure, remodeled and equipped.<\/p>\n

The butcher created seven new jobs and will sell beef, goat, pork and poultry, as well as vegetables, fruit, cheese, butter and charcuterie, all produced by the farm.<\/p>\n

Nuno Paulo, said that the group intends to open other butchers, and that it will continue to next year in Luanda.<\/p>\n

Mumba Farm, in Hui\u0301la, close to the border with Cuando Cubango, employs 700 people and operates on around 43,000 hectares, 20,000 of which are already in full use.<\/p>\n

In addition to meat production, the Farm has three other strategic lines of action: integrated production of cereals (corn, soy, wheat and beans), fruit production (avocado, mango and passion fruit) and forestry, always based on precision agriculture, low carbon and energetically sustainable.<\/p>\n
