Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of Economy and Planning (MEP), Ma\u0301rio Caetano Joa\u0303o, this Wednesday pointed to the construction of technical infrastructures and actions to improve the business environment as driving factors to transfer excessive economic activity from Luanda to the other provinces of the country.<\/b><\/p>\n

For the minister, the paradigm shift is stimulating the attraction of public investment by the country’s provinces, in order to reduce asymmetries, centered on strengthening the democratic rule of law, the fight against corruption and impunity, State reforms and the reduction of imports and the promotion of domestic production.<\/p>\n

Ma\u0301rio Caetano Joa\u0303o was speaking during a round table, at the 1st edition of the Angola Economic Outlook (AEO), promoted by the Ministry of Economy and Planning, in partnership with the magazine Economia & Mercado, in a panel formed by the governor of the National Bank of Angola, Jose\u0301 Massano , and by the Minister of Finance, Vera Daves.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, the holder of the Finance portfolio maintained that the public investments in progress, at the country level, are centered outside Luanda, \u201cwhich demonstrates the Executive’s commitment to put in place fundamental infrastructures so that there are incentives from the private sector and attract their investments\u201d.<\/p>\n

According to the finance minister, there is also an important project to bring the internet to all areas of the country, in a loan from the EximBanck bank, of the People’s Republic of China.<\/p>\n

Vera Daves highlighted the dynamism of agribusiness, as well as family farming that has benefited from public resources, from related institutions such as the Agrarian Development Support Fund (FADA) and the Development Bank of Angola (BDA).<\/p>\n

The first edition of the Angola Economic Outlook (AEO) 2023 took place under the motto \u201cFrom economic recovery to sustainable development\u201d, as an economic observation platform that aims to allow investors and other operators to anticipate their decisions, depending on the projected scenarios.<\/p>\n
