Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The president of the Industrial Association of Angola (AIA), Jose\u0301 Severino, considered yesterday, in Luanda, the commitment to startups to develop agribusiness in the country, taking into account the potential offered by the market.<\/b><\/p>\n

On the sidelines of the 2nd edition of the Angola Startup Summer, which takes place from the 27th to the 29th of April under the motto \u201cInnovation and technology as vectors for the size of startups in Angola\u201d, he underlined that it is a way out of underdevelopment, taking into account account the use of new technologies.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause, today, we have new technologies that make us eliminate many constraints that we had in relation to communication. I usually tell young people not to buy thin-soled shoes, but buy a computer, join new technologies\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

He reinforced that the country needs more startups \u201cbecause they will evolve in all domains, particularly with GBT, fiber optic cable. New technologies are increasingly accessible and that is where we have to bet\u201d.<\/p>\n

The 2nd edition of the Angola Startup Summer, which takes place from the 27th to the 29th of April under the motto \u201cInnovation and technology as vectors for the size of startups in Angola\u201d, serves to present financing instruments that are adjustable to the needs of companies of this nature, taking into account the different stages they are in.<\/p>\n

The event, held by the Ministry of Economy and Planning, in partnership with Eventos Arena, takes place at the Instituto Superior Polite\u0301cnico de Tecnologias e Cie\u0302ncias (ISPTEC).<\/p>\n

It aims to maintain and encourage the emergence of new startups, through the exchange of experiences, doing business, as well as cooperation with university institutions, potential investors, accelerators and incubators.<\/p>\n

It is considered a startup \u2013 an English term that means \u201cto start something new\u201d, a new company, with a repeatable business model and an innovative idea that causes an impact on society, either with a product or a service that solves a problem.<\/p>\n
