Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The National Commissions for UNESCO, from the CPLP countries, are reinforcing the exchange in the areas of biodiversity and in the domains of tangible and intangible cultural heritage.<\/b><\/p>\n

The reinforcement is being made at the meeting of the National Commissions for UNESCO of the CPLP Countries, which takes place, since Wednesday, in Luanda, under the motto \u201cThe strengthening of the Scientific and Cultural Dialogue for a More Cohesive CPLP\u201d.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the press, the Secretary of State for Higher Education, Euge\u0301nio da Silva, said that the meeting will improve the articulation of the projects developed, in favor of the community.<\/p>\n

The person in charge considered the meeting as a unique moment, in which each country will be able to present its own specificities and circumstances experienced.<\/p>\n

The meeting was marked by the approach of topics such as the UNESCO Heritage Management Plan,\u201d Eramus Program of Associated Schools of the CPLP\u201d and \u201cUNESCO Chairs.\u201d is scheduled to end on Thursday.<\/p>\n

As for Chairs, Euge\u0301nio da Silva said that the country has two, at the Catholic University of Angola and at Mandume ya Ndemufayo.<\/p>\n

\u201c The Catholic University, through its Chair, develops research projects linked to the Portuguese language as a factor of communication and national identity. Mandume University, on the other hand, has projects more linked to biodiversity, ecosystems and the study of local communities, from an ethnographic and cultural perspective.<\/p>\n

On his turn, the Permanent Secretary of the National Commission of Angola for UNESCO (CNU-Angola), Alexandre de Sousa Costa, said the event will help to converge ideals, at a time when Angola occupies the rotating presidency of the CPLP.<\/p>\n

According to him, Portugal is the country with the highest number of chairs at the CPLP level and that their election essentially involves an area of \u200b\u200bknowledge that meets the conditions established by UNESCO.<\/p>\n

For the deputy director of the National Institute of Cultural Heritage, Emanuel Cabo, theft of cultural heritage in the country is almost non-existent.<\/p>\n

The meeting of the National Commissions for UNESCO of the CPLP Countries, aims to establish collaboration, concertation for the development of projects and ideas for the reinforcement of the technical capacities of the accompaniment and monitoring of the strategic plans to be outlined and recommended to the presidency of the national commissions of each state of the CPLP.<\/p>\n

The objective is also limited to identifying experiences and good practices in thematic areas that lead to the sustainable development of a culture of peace in the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries.<\/p>\n

Drawing up plans for implementing actions and initiatives to be identified and promoting exchange are among other objectives of the event.<\/p>\n
