Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>A campaign to promote reading habits, on the initiative of Centro Cultural Dr. Anto\u0301nio Agostinho Neto, takes place since yesterday, in Luanda, with the purpose of instilling these practices in students.<\/b><\/p>\n

The campaign started at school 1.303, known as “Escola do Funge”, in the municipality of Luanda, with the participation of over one hundred students.<\/p>\n

During the initiative, writer Domingas Monte encourages students to read, considering it important that these habits are cultivated from an early age.<\/p>\n

The writer said that it is necessary to take 30 minutes or an hour a day so that the child does not lose the habit of reading.<\/p>\n

“Reading is the best weapon to defend oneself and the biggest door to open new horizons, so we want to re-awaken in children, at an early age, the habit and taste for reading, hence the idea of \u200b\u200bthese activities”.<\/p>\n

He regretted, however, the lack of interest of adults in taking their children to libraries for reading time.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, the Cultural Center Library won a donation of several books by Angolan authors, delivered by the Faculty of Sciences of the Agostinho Neto University.<\/p>\n
