{"id":33509,"date":"2023-05-06T16:26:05","date_gmt":"2023-05-06T16:26:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/?p=33509"},"modified":"2023-05-06T16:25:58","modified_gmt":"2023-05-06T16:25:58","slug":"epal-and-prodel-urged-to-stabilize-water-and-energy-production","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/all-news\/epal-and-prodel-urged-to-stabilize-water-and-energy-production","title":{"rendered":"EPAL and PRODEL urged to stabilize water and energy production"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola. <\/strong><\/span><b>The Public Water Company of Luanda (EPAL) and the Public Electricity Production Company (PRODEL) were recommended yesterday to work hard to stabilize the production and distribution of water in the country&#8217;s capital, as well as to guarantee the continued operation of the electrical infrastructure in Angola.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>When sworn in to the managers of the respective companies, the Minister of Energy and Water, Joa\u0303o Baptista Borges, also pointed out the implementation of the Professional Qualifier and its respective index table, with a view to progression and promotion in the career of employees, as another challenge for EPAL.<\/p>\n<p>Still in the water sector, the government official pointed out the need for EPAl to quickly resolve the Social Security problem of at least 300 employees who were not retired, because the company stopped paying contributions, as well as updating the payment to the INSS of workers who are on active duty.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"bin\/Users\/Muzaffari\/postMediaimg_20_1.jpg\" width=\"480\" height=\"309\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As for the electricity sector, the minister appealed to the PRODEL manager to work towards maintaining the functioning of the existing electrical infrastructures, for the stability of the production and distribution of electricity in the country.<\/p>\n<p>In turn, the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Public Company of A\u0301guas de Luanda, EPAL, Ada\u0303o Manuel da Silva, who took office yesterday, pointed to the organization of the company and the creation of working conditions for employees as the first step in his management, with a view to stabilizing production and distribution levels in the province of Luanda.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"bin\/Users\/Muzaffari\/postMediaimg_20_2.jpg\" width=\"480\" height=\"308\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He assured that, shortly, EPAL will implement a pilot project for the assembly of pre-paid meters in the KK-5000 urbanization, in the urban district of Kilamba, to improve the control of the rational consumption of drinking water.<\/p>\n<p>After this test, he said, the project will be expanded to the centralities of Kilamba and Sequele, in addition to covering other areas of the country&#8217;s capital.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside EPAL&#8217;s PCA, the minister also swore in the respective executive directors Kelson Domingos, Enoch da Costa, Eva da Costa and Kubikiladia Garcia.<\/p>\n<p>On the occasion, the general director of the National Institute of Water Resources, Narciso Ambro\u0301sio, also took office.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Public Electricity Production Company (PRODEL), Pedro Afonso, assured that he has mastered the company&#8217;s challenges, which will only be overcome with the engagement of all employees.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the chairman of PRODEL&#8217;s Board of Directors, the executive directors, Arlindo Cambungo, Manuel Panzo, Daniel Catumbela and Haile Ferra\u0303o, respectively, were also sworn in.<\/p>\n<p>Created on November 20, 2014, through Presidential Decree no 305\/14, PRODEL operates in the electricity generation business for the country, collaborating in transmission and distribution systems.<\/p>\n<p>The emergence of this company results from the extinction of the public companies Cabinet for the Use of the Middle Kwanza (GAMEK) and the National Electricity Company (ENE).<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\">Angola<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola.
