Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, returned to the country this Sunday from London, where he participated in the coronation ceremony of King Carlos III and Queen Camila.<\/b><\/p>\n

At the 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, the Angolan Head of State, accompanied by the First Lady of the Republic, Ana Dias Lourenc\u0327o, received welcome greetings from the Vice President of the Republic, Esperanc\u0327a da Costa, from members of the Executive, among other entities .<\/p>\n

In London, where he stayed since last Thursday (the 4th) as a guest of the British Government, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o participated, in addition to the coronation ceremony, in an official reception offered by the King.<\/p>\n

With the coronation, the United Kingdom and the countries that make up the Commonwealth formally have a new monarch.<\/p>\n

The ceremony took place at Westminster Abbey, in London, with the presence of hundreds of guests, including nationals and foreigners.<\/p>\n

King Charles III succeeds Queen Elizabeth II on the throne, who died on September 8, 2022, at Balmoral Castle, United Kingdom, at the age of 96.<\/p>\n
