Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Ven\u00e2ncio de Moura Diplomatic Academy will hold, from the 21st to the 26th of this month, in Luanda, the second edition to celebrate its Patron’s Day, in an act presided over by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, T\u00e9te Ant\u00f3nio.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to the program, the opening of the broadcast of the program “\u00c1frica Magazine” by R\u00e1dio Nacional de Angola (RNA) will be made from the Diplomatic Academy Ven\u00e2ncio de Moura, with the special participation of the ambassador and Minister of Foreign Affairs, T\u00e9te Ant\u00f3nio.<\/p>\n

The celebration ceremony also reserves cultural moments, namely musical performance, theater, poetry, photographic exhibition, handicraft, books and food fair, in addition to recreational activities such as indoor football, field tennis, among others.<\/p>\n

The act is open to the public upon presentation of the vaccine certificate or negative Covid-19 test carried out in the last 48 hours.<\/p>\n

For the deputy director-general for the Area of \u200b\u200bStudies and Research of the Diplomatic Academy, Matias Pires, Ven\u00e2ncio de Moura is one of the most prestigious figures in Angolan diplomacy “because while he lived he was in all stages of our diplomatic activity”.<\/p>\n

Matias Pires also said that Ven\u00e2ncio de Moura was part of the first group of diplomats after the proclamation of independence and was among the figures who created the current Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n

“In 1978, the first Angolan ambassador to the Republic of Italy was appointed, the first country in Western Europe to recognize Angola’s independence”, recalled the academic, quoted by RNA.<\/p>\n

The analyst for international affairs, Jo\u00e3o Benedito, considers that the tribute paid to the figure of Ven\u00e2ncio de Moura should inspire youth to follow the same example.<\/p>\n

Ven\u00e2ncio de Moura, an unavoidable figure in Angolan diplomacy, was also one of the signatories of the Lusaka Protocol, by the Angolan Government, in November 1994. He dedicated 23 years to diplomacy, one as ambassador to Italy and 22 in the positions of deputy and minister of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n
