Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>An investment in the electrical system, with digital technology, can help to reduce, in substance, the blackouts in the production and supply of electricity in the country, in favor of the continuous economic and social development, said this Tuesday, in Luanda, the engineer in automation and innovation of electrical systems, Wesley Roberto.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to the specialist, with digital technology, there will be an improvement in the electrical system, and even if there are grid failures, it will not affect the availability of electrical energy for the population.<\/p>\n

To this end, he pointed out, it is important to add more value to existing equipment, even before having to invest in manpower.<\/p>\n

Wesley Roberto, who was speaking at a seminar on \u201dInnovation and Reliability\u201d, held by the Ministry of Energy and Water, underlined the need to focus a lot on innovations, in order, in the end, to have a more robust electricity sector.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, the Minister of Energy and Water, Joa\u0303o Baptista Borges, reaffirmed that the Executive will continue to work to guarantee the improvement of the supply of energy and water to the population, with a view to safeguarding social stability and contributing to the country’s economic growth.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe viability of the sector can only be guaranteed if we are able to keep the built infrastructure operational, through adequate maintenance and operation, as well as through the regulations established in the sector\u201d, he added.<\/p>\n

For this reason, he indicated that there is a need to invest heavily in human resources, with training, motivation and engagement of its employees and providers, with the support of modern automation and protection systems, to ensure the quality and regularity of the service, durability of equipment and the stability of the interconnected electrical system.<\/p>\n

Among other objectives, the seminar on Innovation and Reliability aimed to bring current technologies closer to employees who are directly or indirectly linked to the national electricity sector.<\/p>\n

Staff from the Ministry of Energy and Water, Brazilian and English specialists, among other guests, participated in the event.<\/p>\n
