Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Jemima Paulo won, this Tuesday, the second victory in the individual African Chess Championship by defeating the Ethiopian specialist, Brhane Gebratsadik, in the 5th round of the competition taking place in Egypt.<\/b><\/p>\n

With two wins and a draw, the Fide teacher from the Dritrov school now occupies the 17th position, with 2.5 points.<\/p>\n

On this journey, the other Angolan representative, Mestre Internacional (MI) Esperanc\u0327a Caxita, tied with Diana Abdi, from Algeria, ranked 12th, with three points.<\/p>\n

Master Fide Edna\u0301sia Ju\u0301nior, not partnered in this round, occupies the 29th position without any points.<\/p>\n

The competition, which takes place in the Swiss system (all against all nine rounds), started on Saturday (6th) and ends on the 13th of this month.<\/p>\n

The event has the participation of 18 countries, with 32 female athletes and 70 male athletes.<\/p>\n

In addition to the trophy, Angola also has the objective of accumulating points (coefficients) to reach its first Grand Master title, with MI Esperanc\u0327a Caxita.<\/p>\n
