Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Angolan writer Soberano Kanyanga launches, on the 26th of this month, his new literary work called \u201cKitatas Recuos e Avanc\u0327os\u201c.<\/b><\/p>\n

The work, in chronicle, addresses the adventures experienced in wartime in Libolo (Cuanza Sul), until the signing of the peace agreements, in 2022.<\/p>\n

The writer also advanced that the work, whose launch is scheduled for the headquarters of the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, portrays three periods of his life, namely from 8 to 10, from 13 to 16, in a reading of true subjects and that can be listed as complementary literature of the recent history of Angola.<\/p>\n

“This time it’s not fiction and the people cited with official registered names, names of war or house. In the villages we have house names and school names. Many are still present.<\/p>\n

According to the author, despite still being “almost young”, he decided to bring his memories in book form, as life is short and today’s kids, starting with their children and nephews, find certain narratives true as if they were fiction.<\/p>\n

The writer clarified that this work will contribute to the new generation knowing how to preserve peace.<\/p>\n

\u201cWar ate people, not grass. Peace must be preserved and in the universe of the sad history of civil war, who did what or who was on which side, it is necessary to know the naked facts, so that youth can guide themselves in the future”, he reinforced.<\/p>\n

For the writer, young people today, those born after the “peace of Kamorteiro” act in a very emotional way, making appeals to rebellion, to war as if they were watching a movie.<\/p>\n

“It’s a book with an average of 80 pages. Small in volume, rich in content. The excerpts of lived time and brought to prose”, he advanced.<\/p>\n

He appealed to readers, especially young people, to read, comment and share what they manage to retain and know how much peace cost and how much effort must be made to preserve it.<\/p>\n

The writer Luciano Kanyanga has nine literary works already published, namely O Sonho de Kauia (2010), Manongonongo (2011), 10 Charms (2012), O Relo\u0301gio do Velho Thirty (2014), The Firefly Hunter (2014), Songs to the vento (2015), Jack’s pranks (2017), Love without shame (2018).<\/p>\n
