Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The minister of National Defence, Former Combatants and Veterans of the Fatherland, Joa\u0303o Ernesto dos Santos, reiterated, this Wednesday, the combat preparation of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), with a view to safeguarding national independence and the integrity of the Angolan state.<\/b><\/p>\n

Minister Joa\u0303o Ernesto dos Santos made this statement at the meeting led by the Commander-in-Chief of the FAA, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, with the military leaders of the three branches, namely the Army, the National Air Force and the Navy.<\/p>\n

The government official highlighted that the brigade’s tactical maneuver exercise is a demonstration of compliance with the methodological and organizational indications on the operational, combative and patriotic educational preparation of the FAA.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is with great enthusiasm that the military leadership, representing the entire staff of the FAA, loyal to the Republic of Angola, the people and the established political and democratic power, welcomes the Commander-in-Chief to hear the guidelines for current and future challenges. to the national security of the Angolan State\u201d, he underlined.<\/p>\n

Joa\u0303o Ernesto dos Santos maintained that these guidelines are in line with the Constitutional assumption, which aims to guarantee the safeguard of national independence and sovereignty and the territorial integrity of the democratic State of Law, freedom, defense of the territory.<\/p>\n

The minister stressed that this strategy, in favor of defending the national territory, safeguarding wisdom, among other challenges, is against any threats and risks, as well as carrying out cooperation for national development and contributing to international peace and security.<\/p>\n

At the meeting, which brought together senior, superior, subordinate officers, among other personnel, from the three branches of the Angolan Armed Forces, in the city of Menongue, capital of Cuando Cubango, the various issues and challenges of the military at different levels were evaluated.<\/p>\n
