Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The leader of the National Association of Traditional Sovereignty of Angola, Miguel Matias Filipe, defended, this Wednesday, in the city of Huambo, greater autonomy in the organization for the registration, control and real identification of members.<\/b><\/p>\n

The official, who was speaking to the press, after an audience with the governor of Huambo province, Lotti Nolika, within the framework of the Provincial Council for Traditional Power, considered it important that they should have the national customary domain, given the specificity of this class.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want our association to be in fact directed and integrated by traditional authorities, not only to avoid intruders or ghosts, but because of economic issues and to improve levels of organization and safeguard of traditional power, as an important factor for culture. national,” he said.<\/p>\n

Miguel Matias Felipe informed that the provincial Council of Traditional Power in Huambo aimed to elect the local board, made up of 10 members, in order to work on solving the problems of the class.<\/p>\n

In turn, the King of Huambo, Filipe Moc\u0327o, valued the holding of the event, as it contributes to solving the problems of this class, with emphasis on improving socioeconomic conditions.<\/p>\n

The Sovereign of Bailundo, Tchongolola Tchongoga, said that the electoral leadership will serve as a link, between the traditional authorities and the government, in the process of organization and control of the class of sobas, in addition to solving the problems already identified.<\/p>\n

In brief statements, Governor Lotti Nolika said that the Angolan Executive is concerned with issues of traditional authorities, hence the council was held to find a middle ground for resolving the problem of the legitimacy of many members of the class.<\/p>\n

However, he appealed to the traditional authorities for caution in collecting real data from their members in Huambo province and in the country in general.<\/p>\n
