Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Business and investment opportunities in the country were presented to German businessmen, during the Angola-Germany Business Forum.<\/b><\/p>\n

On the occasion, the Minister of Economy and Planning (MEP), Ma\u0301rio Caetano Joa\u0303o, presented the performance of the Angolan economy and the strategic vision of the National Development Plan, emanating from the long-term strategy 2050.<\/p>\n

Cited in a press release, the official also presented his commitment to improving the business environment, the plans to promote grain production (Planagra\u0303o), animal protein production (Planapecua\u0301ria) and fisheries (Planapesca).<\/p>\n

The minister made it known that the macroeconomic stability that the country is experiencing and the bet on the diversification of the economy are only being possible, because of one factor.<\/p>\n

“(…) This is how, until 2019, more than 40 projects were financed per year, but that number rose significantly from 2020 to the point that in 2022 alone, over a thousand projects were financed” highlighted the minister, Ma\u0301rio Caetano Joa\u0303o.<\/p>\n

The official appealed to businessmen to invest in Angola, because, in addition to its internal market and productive potential, it is a space that represents a gateway to the SADC market, comprising more than 300 million consumers and annually moves 750 billion dollars.<\/p>\n

The president of the Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency, AIPEX, Lello Francisco, presented the tax incentives and the facilities and support that the Agency offers to those who want to invest in the country.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Executive Committee of the Angolan Debt and Stock Exchange (BODIVA), Walter Pacho, says that another way of investing in Angola, in addition to the process of privatizing public companies, is in the agrarian sector, through stock Exchange.<\/p>\n

In turn, the delegate for the German Economy in Angola, Vandre\u0301 Spellmeier, considers that the active presence of investors at the forum reveals the high German interest in the Angolan market, in the areas that correspond to the pillars of the strategic vision of the PDN 2023\/2027, \u201ccapital human development, diversification of the economy, especially in the production and export of green hydrogen, and infrastructure\u201d.<\/p>\n

Angola and Germany<\/p>\n

Germany and Angola, being two traditional partners, have projects that focus on the construction of infrastructures for the production of electricity, the pharmaceutical industry and in the field of Hospital Construction and Management.<\/p>\n

Available information indicates that trade between Angola and Germany, in 2020, was estimated at 120 million euros.<\/p>\n

With about 82.8 million inhabitants, the Federal Republic of Germany is a country in Central Europe, bordered to the north by the North Sea, Denmark and the Baltic Sea, to the east by Poland and the Czech Republic, to the south by Austria and the Switzerland, and to the west through France, Luxembourg, Belgium and the Netherlands.<\/p>\n
