Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>TAAG-Linhas Ae\u0301reas de Angola and the Brazilian company GOl signed an agreement for the transport of cargo between the African, South American and European continents.<\/b><\/p>\n

The information is contained in a press release from the national air carrier, and which indicates the fact that the agreement succeeds the codeshare protocol (passenger transport by connection between different companies), initialed last April, in the sense of encourage passenger traffic.<\/p>\n

This agreement aims at the transport of medium and small cargo goods, express mail, among other orders, between Africa, Europe and Latin America, from Luanda (Angola) and Sa\u0303o Paulo (Brazil).<\/p>\n

Under the agreement, TAAG will cover destinations in Africa such as Angola, Mozambique, Sa\u0303o Tome\u0301, Namibia, Nigeria and Kenya.<\/p>\n

GOL will share TAAG cargo on the European continent, in countries such as Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy and the Americas (Brazil and Cuba).<\/p>\n

According to the document, one of TAAG’s objectives is to increase the volume of cargo transported annually, reinforcing the company’s attractiveness for attracting new customers and contracts.<\/p>\n

For this purpose, the national airline, depending on schedule and availability, must use the hold luggage space of commercial and cargo flights (aircraft exclusively for cargo) operated by GOL on its domestic and regional routes.<\/p>\n

In the document, the President of the Executive Board (PCE) of TAAG, Eduardo Fairen, considered the cargo business essential for the company’s competitiveness and sustainability.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a strategic segment to position Luanda as an important hub in the region, just as this partnership with GOL opens up many perspectives for us to reach new destinations in Brazil and Latin America, and benefit from the development of economies throughout the southern hemisphere. \u201d, argues the manager.<\/p>\n
