Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The governor of Kavango East, Bonifatius Wakudumo, defended Thursday, in the city of Rundu (Republic of Namibia), the effective cohesion of African countries, to put an end to foreign influence in the continent’s political and economic instability.<\/b><\/p>\n

Speaking to press on the occasion of the 25th of May, Africa Day, the Namibian official characterizes the foreign influence in the continent as being at the base of the delay of the sustainable development of Africa.<\/p>\n

In his opinion, many African countries only have political and not economic independence, which contribute little or nothing to the affirmation of the Democratic State of Rights in the continent.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen the OAU was created, there was hope that African countries, with independence, would embark on development processes to ensure the continent’s peoples a dignified life, but, due to the incitement of conflicts, there is no development on the continent”, highlighted.<\/p>\n

According to Bonifatius Wakudumo, the fight for the firmament of the continent free of foreign influences must continue, to conquer both political and economic independence in its fullness.<\/p>\n

The African continent marks this Thursday, May 25, 60 years since the creation of the Organization of African Unity (OAU), now the African Union (AU).<\/p>\n
