Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The former president of Liberia, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, visiting Angola for the purpose of the 1st International Women’s Forum for Peace and Democracy, ended her working day in the country with a visit to the Dr. Anto\u0301nio Agostinho Neto (MAAN).<\/b><\/p>\n

Accompanied by the Minister of State for the Social Area, Dalva Ringote, and other Forum participants, the former stateswoman learned about some areas of the MAAN, including the sarcophagus where the remains of the first President of Angola, Anto\u0301nio Agostinho Neto, rest.<\/p>\n

In the Memorial’s open honor roll, Ellen Johnson wrote “I’m overjoyed.”<\/p>\n

In the end, without making any statements to the press or those present, the former president of Liberia, visibly happy, waved her hands goodbye to everyone.<\/p>\n

In turn, the MAAN museum guide, Francisco Sima\u0303o, said that the place has received a significant number of foreign tourists, especially on Thursdays and Fridays, days when it can receive 600 people.<\/p>\n

The 1st International Women’s Forum for Peace and Democracy was an event for reflection, debates and exchange of experiences on Peace and Democracy at an African level.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe challenges of globalization in the process of gender empowerment\u201d, \u201cTechnological innovation and education to achieve gender equality\u201d, \u201cFormalization as a mechanism for social and financial inclusion\u201d, \u201cChallenges of food security and climate change on the African continent \u201d and the \u201cRole of women in consolidating peace and preserving conflicts\u201d, were the subjects scheduled for debate at the international meeting.<\/p>\n
