Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Biena society defended yesterday, in the city of Cuito, that the Long-Term Strategy (PLA) \u201cAngola 2050 has as main attention the valorization of human capital and programs and projects that raise the economy and the quality of life of the families.<\/b><\/p>\n

Opinions were expressed during a consultation meeting and public consultation of the Long-Term Strategy (PLA) \u201cAngola 2050\u201d, promoted by the Ministry of Economy and Planning with members from different strata of Biena society.<\/p>\n

Professor Filipe Jimbi underlined the importance of this instrument to ensure greater responsibility in public tenders, from the creation of conditions for tests, selection process of candidates and framing of the respective staff.<\/p>\n

For him, it would be good if, in the sale of land for self-directed construction, the Government put basic services first, such as electricity, drinking water, construction of schools, hospitals and other services beneficial to families.<\/p>\n

Alberto Avelino, member of the civil society, defended more investment for the construction of industrial parks, mainly for the transformation industry, so that the raw material, including minerals, agricultural production and others, are transformed locally.<\/p>\n

The investment, in addition to reducing costs in the country’s economy, he stressed, will contribute to the fight against poverty and hunger within families, as it will provide more employment for Angolans, essentially the youth layer.<\/p>\n

Anto\u0301nio dos Santos, president of the Association of Former Combatants and Veterans of the Fatherland in Bie\u0301, called for greater investment in the cooking gas sector in rural communities, in order to avoid the indiscriminate felling of trees, used for charcoal production.<\/p>\n

Economist Vivaldo Lopes highlighted the importance of the Government working with commercial banks to provide more financing to the business class and above all to reduce interest rates, so that it is possible to accumulate capital, which would also be used for new investments.<\/p>\n

At the ceremony, Bie\u0301’s deputy governor for the political, economic and social sector, Alcida de Jesus Camateli Sandumbo, urged the need for academics, religious entities and civil society, in general, to contribute, with their knowledge, so that the country have modern and competitive infrastructures in the future, diversification of the economy, promotion of a sustainable ecosystem, guarantee of a fairer nation with equal opportunities.<\/p>\n

The Secretary of State for Planning, Milton dos Santos Reis, said that Angola, in 2050, could have a diversified and prosperous economy, without, however, having total dependence on funds coming from oil, but also from financing the sector. private.<\/p>\n

He informed that, in the elaboration of the strategy of the ELP \u201cAngola 2050\u201d, more than 300 entities were initially consulted, including political, religious, business leaders, NGOs, among other cooperation partners, as well as over a thousand interviews.<\/p>\n

In turn, the head of the Demographic Policy department of the Ministry of Economy and Planning (MEP), Pedro Kilembo Palata, stressed that, by 2050, the biennial population demography will double to 4.3 million inhabitants, the Gross Domestic Product (PIP) will triple, reaching approximately nine thousand 348 million dollars, employment will double from 853 thousand 413 to one million 512 thousand 415 jobs, while the education sector will gain 46 thousand 922 teachers.<\/p>\n

To achieve these goals, according to Pedro Kilembo Palata, the province will need an investment of around US$29 billion.<\/p>\n
