Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The executive director (CEO) of Sanlam Angola Seguros, Ivorian Philippe Alialli, considers that the Lobito Corridor is the key to the development of the country and the southern part of Africa, praising the Government’s commitment to its revitalization .<\/b><\/p>\n

Managed by the \u201cLobito Atlantic Railway\u201d consortium, formed by the companies Vecturis, Trafigura and Mota Engil, for a period of 30 years, the Lobito Corridor covers the city port, the ore terminal and the Benguela Railway, with a line of 1,344 kilometers to Luau, on the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo.<\/p>\n

The CEO of Sanlam Angola Seguros was speaking at the award ceremony of trophies and diplomas by Eventos Arena to the 12 best companies of the 12th edition of the Benguela International Fair (FIB), whose Grand Prize was snatched by that insurance company.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis corridor is important for Africa. It is a key to what development is\u201d, said Philippe Alialli, predicting that, when fully operational, it will bring benefits to many countries, especially those without access to the sea, such as the DRC and Zambia.<\/p>\n

For the official, countries that are not advanced in agriculture will also find the Lobito Corridor a quick way to develop, through the export of various products.<\/p>\n

It is in this sense that the executive director of Sanlam Angola Seguros says he is proud of the essential role that the Angolan Government at central and provincial level has played in putting the country on the path of development, through the Lobito Corridor.<\/p>\n

Likewise, it showed the interest of the largest insurer on the African continent in agriculture and transport, hence the importance it attaches to the Lobito Corridor.<\/p>\n

On behalf of the Lobito Corridor, the Ivorian Philippe Alialli points out that the Benguela market is becoming increasingly competitive and attractive for Africa.<\/p>\n

Paulo Raposo, commercial director of the company Maqman, winner in the machinery and equipment category, said that the group has been present in the national market for around 15 years and has followed the evolution of the country’s economy with great interest.<\/p>\n

That is why he has ensured that Maqman is prepared to supply equipment and respond to cargo handling needs, so that the country is increasingly stronger, given the enormous potential it has.<\/p>\n

The representative of Fidelidade Seguros, Cristina Lourenc\u0327o, was also surprised by the award for best representation in this category and reiterated the company’s commitment to work to protect people and companies.<\/p>\n

Another edition of the Benguela International Fair was attended by 368 companies from the sectors of agriculture and livestock, food, beverage, fishing, banking, agricultural machinery, telecommunications, insurance, among others.<\/p>\n

Held annually, the event, whose first edition took place in 2011, aims to promote the economic and industrial potential of the Central South region of Angola, aiming to attract national and foreign investment for development and bring together the main economic and social agents, providing a business-friendly environment.<\/p>\n

The Benguela International Fair is considered the largest business exchange in the Center South region, namely in the provinces of Benguela, Huambo, Bie\u0301 and Hui\u0301la, with potential in the sectors of agriculture, livestock, industry, fisheries, transport and logistics, civil construction , tourism, among many others.<\/p>\n
