Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The new online club licensing platform of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) will create greater dynamics, sports leaders considered Monday, in Lubango, at the regional workshop.<\/b><\/p>\n

The CAF Online Club Licensing Platform (CLOP) is a system of electronic tools designed to manage the licensing process and stadium inspections for national and continental competitions.<\/p>\n

The platform, launched in 2022, was presented to member associations during a CAF Club Licensing seminar in Cairo (Egypt).<\/p>\n

As part of its functionalities, CLOP allows, among others, licensors to implement a fully automated and electronic club registration process for continental and national competitions.<\/p>\n

For the general secretary of the Mozambican Football Federation, Hila\u0301rio Madeira, with the platform, clubs will be able to license at any time, anywhere, complying with CAF regulations.<\/p>\n

The official added that the biggest challenge was the dynamics of the process, as Mozambican clubs are already aware of this, through the pro-licensing project that determines the phases, but tend to migrate slowly to the new system.<\/p>\n

He stressed that currently the process is manual and requires displacements, movements, which delays the process of deadlines, but with the platform it will be possible to comply with the procedures anywhere in the country, so the training complements the idea of many federations that have difficulties in the process.<\/p>\n

The manager of Club Licensing in Sa\u0303o Tome\u0301 and Pri\u0301ncipe, Josily Silva, said that the training will make them use the new CLOP system perfectly, which will help the licensing of clubs in the country and in Africa.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are going to have benefits in the medium and long term, as there is a need to implement the system, but with that we can have it implemented in the country in six months or a year. The Federation has done its job for the modality to develop\u201d, he continued.<\/p>\n

For the head of the Appellate Body of the Bissau-Guinean Football Federation, Graciano Mango, it is an action that will provide more knowledge on matters of club licensing and be able to apply the platforms that will be available.<\/p>\n

In turn, the president of the first instance body for Club Licensing of the Cabo Verdean Football Federation, Adilson Lopes, stressed that the new licensing system improves the quality of \u201cResports\u201d practiced on the continent.<\/p>\n

He admitted that at the beginning they may face some resistance because everything that is new generates distrust, but work will be done on raising awareness, in the sense of showing clubs the importance of a qualitative step.<\/p>\n

The regional training workshop on CAF’s new online club licensing platform, aimed at federations from 14 Lusophone and English-speaking countries, including Angola, will take place in Lubango until the 31st of the current month.<\/p>\n
