Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The implementation of public policies, which aim at the well-being of the population, involves improving access roads, recognized, this Thursday, in the municipality of Dirico, MPLA parliamentary deputy Joa\u0303o Anto\u0301nio Lineha.<\/b><\/p>\n

The parliamentarian made this statement at the end of a visit to verify the ongoing works of the Intervention Plan in Municipalities (PIIM) and the Integrated Program for Local Development and Combating Poverty in this municipality, which is more than 700 kilometers from the city of Menongue , capital of Cuando Cubango.<\/p>\n

He said that, with a road in good condition, there will be works with greater quality and speed, pointing out the Executive’s program for the construction of roads, in the medium and short term, in order to reach the level of development that is intended.<\/p>\n

The also coordinator of the deputies of the electoral cycle of Cuando Cubango urged the businessmen to continue to develop a work with responsibility and commitment, assuring that the government has drawn up a program that provides for the rehabilitation and construction of access roads to improve the movement of people and assets between municipalities.<\/p>\n

The parliamentarian took a guided tour of the construction works of the health centre, with a capacity of 30 beds, budgeted at more than 800 million kwanzas, as well as a morgue with nine drawers, budgeted at more than 117 million kwanzas.<\/p>\n

The children’s center was also reviewed, with costs of more than 200 million kwanzas.<\/p>\n

He also visited the construction works of the administrative headquarters of Dirico, the administration palace, as well as three fountains, whose physical execution is in the order of 40 percent.<\/p>\n
