Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Government foresees an accumulated investment of US$20 million and 642 thousand in the province of Moxico, within the framework of the Long-Term Strategy \u201cAngola 2050\u201d.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to the \u201cAngola 2050\u201d Long-Term Strategy, a central instrument of the National Planning System, which is in the public consultation phase, Moxico is a space for the development of large-scale entrepreneurial agriculture supported by agro-poles creating synergies with industries agro-processing of continental fisheries and the forest.<\/p>\n

According to the document, the city of Luena gains importance as a hub for the Benguela and East corridors (Dundo-Menongue) and in the development of higher-level functions for a cross-border market (Zambia).<\/p>\n

In demographic terms, the Long Term Strategy foresees a population growth, going from the current 964 thousand 426 inhabitants, to two million 44 thousand and 712 people.<\/p>\n

As for the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), it expects to grow four times more, rising from the current billion and 686 thousand dollars, to seven million 720 thousand, while the GDP per capita rises from one thousand and 748 dollars, to three thousand 776 American dollars.<\/p>\n

In terms of health, it forecasts an increase in the number of doctors and nurses by 2050, from the current 1,520 to 6,543 professionals, while the number of teachers will increase from 5,459 to 21,929 teachers.<\/p>\n

During the public discussion, held in the city of Luena, the Secretary of State for Economy and Planning, Ivan Emanuel dos Santos, reiterated that the Long-Term Strategy \u201cAngola 2050 is based on five main axes, which include investment in human capital , Infrastructure investment.<\/p>\n

It is also confined to economic diversification to potential agribusiness and livestock, as well as sustainability and the right of opportunity for all Angolans.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moxico, Agrione Manuel, suggested the need to further develop the business sector, empowering the country’s entrepreneurs, to create a greater volume of business.<\/p>\n

Citizen Anto\u0301nio Manuel defended greater investment in the field of innovation and technologies, as he believes it to be an important indicator for the development of nations.<\/p>\n
