Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>MPLA deputies want the conclusion, by the end of this year, of 85 percent of the paralyzed works in Bengo province, inserted in the various government programs, to serve the populations as quickly as possible.<\/b><\/p>\n

This position was expressed, Saturday, in Caxito, by the coordinator of the follow-up group of the MPLA political Bureau secretariat to Bengo province, Carla Maria Sousa Ribeiro, stressing that the PIIM paralyzed projects do not exceed 15 percent.<\/p>\n

Carla Leita\u0303o Ribeiro, who coordinated a group of deputies that worked for six days in the province, assured that by October or November of this year, the government will deliver various ongoing services to the population, to satisfy the intention expressed by the members of the municipal consultation councils.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe levels of development are visible, not as a whole, but it is much better compared to past years\u201d, he underlined.<\/p>\n

The main concerns presented by the populations relate to access to education, primary health services, electricity, drinking water and the basic food basket, which will be overcome very soon, he said.<\/p>\n

In this sense, the project for the electrification of the Tria\u0302ngulo region (Dembos, Bula Atumba and Pango Aluque\u0301m), including the municipality of Nambuangongo, is already under way, which will make life easier for residents.<\/p>\n

To the government, he said, he recommended continuous investment in the earthworks of access roads to allow production to flow and ensure better movement of people.<\/p>\n

He recalled that the province has sufficient water resources for the development of agriculture and urged the population to increase production to improve the diet.<\/p>\n

For six days, MPLA parliamentarians worked in the six municipalities of the province to inspect projects with a social impact included in various programs such as the Integrated Plan for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM) and the Fight Against Poverty.<\/p>\n

They met with members of the secretariat of the provincial committee, the executive committee of the municipal committees and the council for consultation and social consultation of the municipal communities.<\/p>\n

Bengo province has 14 PIIM projects at a standstill, out of a total of 115 actions, of which 52 have been completed, 44 are in tender and five are yet to start.<\/p>\n
