Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The deputies to the National Assembly of the MPLA parliamentary group suggested yesterday, in Ui\u0301ge province, the construction of more Medium Polytechnic Institutes, for the technical training of young people in the region.<\/b><\/p>\n

Data from the education sector indicate that the province of Ui\u0301ge has 10 professional technical schools and three magisteriums (teacher training).<\/p>\n

The announcement was made by the spokesperson for the committee of parliamentarians, Esteves Hila\u0301rio, in the balance sheet of the activity of evaluating the works of the PIIM, carried out by seven deputies, during a week, in the 16 municipalities of the province of Ui\u0301ge, activities that included the coordinator from the parliamentary group of MPLA deputies, Emi\u0301lia Carlota Dias.<\/p>\n

Esteves Hila\u0301rio said that the consultation meetings and visits revealed a lack of professional institutes in some municipalities in this region.<\/p>\n

He added that the phenomenon of unemployment, the implementation of technical courses and the pedagogical aggregation of young people who finished high school, as well as the electrification of municipalities were other concerns raised by the population.<\/p>\n

The deputy promised to advocate with the holders to mitigate these problems, to satisfy the needs of the population.<\/p>\n

Regarding the visits made, Esteves Hila\u0301rio said that the works of the Integrated Plan in the Municipalities (PIIM) are benefiting the population of several communities in the province of Ui\u0301ge.<\/p>\n

He added that 95 percent of PIIM works in the education, health and social housing sectors had already been delivered to the population.<\/p>\n

He pointed out that there is still much to be done in Ui\u0301ge province, especially the rehabilitation of secondary and tertiary roads, for better circulation of people and goods.<\/p>\n

Three local and four national deputies, the provincial governor, members of the government and other guests took part in the debriefing.<\/p>\n
