{"id":36229,"date":"2023-06-06T07:23:20","date_gmt":"2023-06-06T07:23:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/all-news\/portuguese-bank-finances-road-rehabilitation"},"modified":"2023-06-06T08:10:30","modified_gmt":"2023-06-06T08:10:30","slug":"portuguese-bank-finances-road-rehabilitation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/all-news\/portuguese-bank-finances-road-rehabilitation","title":{"rendered":"Portuguese bank finances road rehabilitation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola. <\/strong><\/span><b>The Portuguese bank Caixa Geral de Depo\u0301sitos (CGD) will finance the rehabilitation of roads in the provinces of Cabinda, Moxico and Zaire, as part of the reinforcement of cooperation between the Governments of Angola and Portugal.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>These are works projects for the rehabilitation of national road 250, on the Lumeje-Cameia-Lucano section (Moxico), on the Cacongo \u2013Miconje \u200b\u200baxis (Cabinda) and the completion and repair of the Nzeto-Soyo motorway (Zaire).<\/p>\n<p>The financing contracts for the referred works were initialed this Monday between the Minister of Finance of Angola, Vera Daves, the chairman of the Executive Committee of Banco Caixa Geral de Depo\u0301sitos, Paulo Jose\u0301 Semedo, and the Portuguese prosecutor, Joa\u0303o Manuel de Castro Placido Pires.<\/p>\n<p>The signatures of the legal documents, a total of 13, were witnessed by the President of the Republic of Angola, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, and by the Prime Minister of Portugal, Anto\u0301nio Costa, who is visiting the country for the second time, after 2018.<\/p>\n<p>As part of this official visit by Anto\u0301nio Costa, at the invitation of President Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, the addition to the Convention between Angola and Portugal, relating to the coverage of credit risks for the export of goods and services of Portuguese origin to Angola, was also initialed, a signed document between Vera Daves and her Portuguese counterpart, Fernando Medina.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to this agreement, the 2023-2027 Strategic Cooperation Program was signed between the ministers of Foreign Affairs of Angola, Anto\u0301nio Tete, and of Foreign Affairs of Portugal, Joa\u0303o Gomes Cravinho.<\/p>\n<p>The two countries also agreed to cooperate in matters of the sea, in the bilateral technical field of telecommunications, in the use, by Angola, of the license of the Portuguese version of European standards, among other memorandums of understanding, in the scope of training, laboratory support, exchange of information and sharing of good practices between the national authorities of Economic Inspection of Angola (ANIESA) and of Food and Economic Security of Portugal (ASAE).<\/p>\n<p>On the same occasion, ASAE also signed a cooperation protocol with the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC).<\/p>\n<p>Angola and Portugal established diplomatic relations on March 9, 1976.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\">Angola<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola.
