Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The senior female handball teams of Petro de Luanda and 1o Agosto will play again, in less than seven days, Friday, for the final of the Luanda Provincial Championship.<\/b><\/p>\n

Scheduled for 6 pm, at the Cidadela pavilion, in the country’s capital, the challenge will pit Angola’s two most titled teams against competitions on the African continent.<\/p>\n

To reach that stage, the \u201coil companies\u201d eliminated, in the semi-finals, Tuesday, Desportivo do Maculusso, by 34-15, while the \u201cmilitary\u201d sidelined their B team, with a triumph of 35-25.<\/p>\n

In search of another conquest, at the level of the main competition in Luanda, a championship whose title is in possession of 1o de Agosto.<\/p>\n

The two clubs face each other nine days later, with 1o de Agosto triumphing over the \u201coil companies\u201d, in the provincial calendar adjustment, by 21 \u2013 18, at the Paulo Bunze pavilion, taking advantage of the home advantage.<\/p>\n

Last month, in the city of Cairo (Egypt), 1o de Agosto recorded two defeats against Petro, in the final of the African Super Cup and Cup Winners’ Cup.<\/p>\n

As for the men’s sector, between Interclube and 1o de Agosto, the final is postponed \u201csine die\u201d, due to the excessive number of players from the players in the National Junior Team, which is preparing to compete in the World Cup.<\/p>\n

1o de Agosto secured qualification Wednesday, after winning over Petro de Luanda, by 24-18, with the favorable 16-5, at half-time.<\/p>\n
