Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The new General Labor Law, recently approved by the National Assembly, is more balanced in terms of guaranteeing the rights of the employer and the working class, representing a win for all, said this Wednesday, the provincial secretary of UNTA do Cunene (UNTA), Eliseu Honge.<\/b><\/p>\n

He said that there was a lot of demand for this readjustment, highlighting the fact of defining the contract for an indefinite period as a rule.<\/p>\n

Eliseu Honge justified that the law still in force is not very favorable to workers, but the future diploma brings with it social guarantees of work, such as protection against dismissals.<\/p>\n

The trade unionist advised the need for greater rigor in the inspection of the application of the law by the General Labor Inspectorate and other similar institutions.<\/p>\n

“It is not enough just to pass the law, rigorous inspection is essential to ensure compliance”, he underlined.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, he defended greater dissemination of the new instrument, so that the working class and employers have control over it.<\/p>\n

With a universe of more than 10,000 workers, UNTA controls 4,000 members.<\/p>\n
