Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Angolan musician Filipe Mukenda launches, on 15 July this year, in Luanda, the album “Canc\u0327o\u0303es & Destinos”, in a live show taking place at Club S.<\/b><\/p>\n

In a telephone conversation, the Angolan musician, who is in Portugal making arrangements related to the release of the album and other projects, announced that this could be his last album.<\/p>\n

The singer said that he is after the realization of the old \u201cdream\u201d of releasing his latest record project \u201cTritonalidades\u201d – the work of his life – and once it has come true, he leaves music and the stage, later this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I manage to materialize the record \u201cbig project\u201d, which I initially decided to call Tritonalities, which are 36 songs in a single package, it will be the icing on the cake\u201d, he revealed.<\/p>\n

The record project comprises a three-disc compact, with 36 songs to be worked on by three arrangers or producers.<\/p>\n

He informed that it has been difficult to find patrons willing to finance the project, due to the fact that the current Patronage Law is not very attractive.<\/p>\n

The 73-year-old artist points to age as the only reason for his decision to leave the stage.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to leave through the big door, leaving a good image, still with a confident, elastic and bright voice and managing to move without the help of the staff\u201d, he justifies.<\/p>\n

With some nostalgia, Filipe Mukenga vents: \u201cI say goodbye to music, leaving thousands of other songs to be recorded in the trunk\u201d.<\/p>\n

But he said that if this project does not come out, it will be limited to the release of his sixth album, which is produced by Guelvamos Produc\u0327o\u0303es.<\/p>\n

\u201cCanc\u0327o\u0303es & Destinos\u201d, which began recording in Luanda, features musicians from Angola, Peru and Brazil in the style of Nova Mu\u0301sica de Angola (NMA), of which Filipe Mukenga is said to be a pioneer.<\/p>\n

Filipe Mukenga started singing and composing in the 60’s, influenced by Anglo-Saxon music, namely by “The Beatles” and by the French music of the time.<\/p>\n

With five albums recorded over the 60 years of his musical career, to be announced next September, Filipe Mukenga leaves a legacy of several successes such as Humbiumbi and Angola no Corac\u0327a\u0303o.<\/p>\n
