Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of Economy and Planning, Ma\u0301rio Caetano Joa\u0303o, this Monday appealed to youth to engage in entrepreneurship, in order to help boost the national economy.<\/b><\/p>\n

The minister, who was speaking to the press on the sidelines of the presentation and public consultation of the Long-Term Strategy – Angola 2050, pointed to the need for continuous training so that he can create businesses and increase the workforce in the country.<\/p>\n

According to the minister, the ELP-Angola 2050 also portrays the domain of youth and is being treated in a transversal way, as it is in fact one of the filters of the strategy and consequently of the elaborated plan.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe private sector is a socio-economic factor for the country’s development, which is why we need three main authors to leverage the country’s economy, namely the conducive business environment, entrepreneurs or economic collaborators and education-since it is the main driver long-term strategy\u201d, he clarified.<\/p>\n

For the minister, it is fundamental for youth to be engaged in entrepreneurship so as not to depend on the civil service, whose function is to improve the business environment and continuously train elementary, secondary and higher education.<\/p>\n

According to Ma\u0301rio Caetano Joa\u0303o, the project is responding to the various dimensions, the first and most important of which is to be able to transmit and provide youth with the necessary instrument to be more productive and enterprising, to allow the creation of these companies.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn this way, we are expecting to reduce the unemployment rate by around 10 percent and we will clearly be promoting it with more employment\u201d, he continued.<\/p>\n

The ELP – Angola 2050 is the basic tool for the elaboration of the National Development Plan (PDN), which presents the strategic options for the country’s long-term development, being elaborated based on analysis of scenarios, for the national, sectoral and territorial.<\/p>\n

The strategy will bring a global vision to Angola and its role at the international level, in the next 27 years, presenting five (5) priority axes of development as “a society that values \u200b\u200band enhances its human capital”, “a diversified and prosperous economy \u201d, \u201cmodern and competitive infrastructure\u201d.<\/p>\n
