Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Seven hundred and 50 children assigned to Homes and Orphanages, as well as students and nuns, marched Monday, against child labor and exploitation, demanding more respect and better treatment.<\/b><\/p>\n

The march was promoted by the National Children’s Institute (INAC), as part of the Children’s Day and the World Day against Child Labor, which yesterday was celebrated and served to repudiate adults, including parents and guardians who force minors to develop income-generating activities.<\/p>\n

The children traveled through various streets in the city of Malanje, displaying posters with words such as \u201cDown with violence against children\u201d, \u201cSay no to violence against children\u201d, \u201cEducate children for a better future\u201d, \u201cNo child labor\u201d. , among other forms of protest.<\/p>\n

The Deputy Governor for the Technical and Infrastructure sector, Angelino Quissonde reiterated the need to fulfill the 11 children’s commitments, having condemned child exploitation, which has recently been registered in societies.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are the adults who must create the best living conditions and coexistence for children, when this does not happen we must be punished\u201d, he stressed.<\/p>\n

In turn, the head of Provincial Services at the National Children’s Institute (INAC), Sara Domingos explained that this year 25 cases of violence against minors were registered, ranging from exploitation and child labor, physical aggression and sexual violation, phenomena which must be combated for urgent social and legal intervention, with a view to preserving and guaranteeing the dignity of minors.<\/p>\n

He admitted the need to work more and more to raise the awareness of adults and families in Malanje to participate in this struggle, for which reason, INAC will be attentive to all phenomena that jeopardize the lives and dignity of children, having appealed to the denouncement of acts against them.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, in a message, the children drew attention to adults in order to protect them from all evils such as physical aggression, sexual abuse and others.<\/p>\n

The children’s days take place under the motto \u201cMunicipalize the 11 commitments to better protect the child\u201d.<\/p>\n
