Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>A total of 73 heads of goats and 182 laying hens were delivered this Tuesday to 127 peasant families in the municipality of Chinguar, central Bie\u0301 province, as part of the program to combat poverty.<\/b><\/p>\n

Acquired by the Municipal Administration of Chinguar, within the framework of the Program for Local Development and Combating Poverty, action, aimed at peasant families in the communes of Cangoti, Cutato and the municipal headquarters of Chinguar, the latter 75 kilometers west of the city of Cuito, aims to promote poultry and animal production.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, administrator of the municipality of Chinguar, A\u0302ngela Ucueinga, reiterated the government’s challenges in improving the population’s quality of life, through incentives that awaken families to entrepreneurship and other actions in favor of the region’s growth.<\/p>\n

In addition to raising animals, A\u0302ngela Ucueinga, who did not reveal the amount of the investment, encouraged peasant families and others to invest in agricultural production, with a view to eradicating hunger and poverty in the municipality.<\/p>\n

Ruth Bimbi, on behalf of the beneficiaries, praised the gesture of the Chinguar Administration, by highlighting the importance of not selling the goods in question, in order to allow the government to come, in the future, to support other families.<\/p>\n

With 167 thousand 690 inhabitants, in 2021, the program has already benefited more than 300 families with cattle, goats and poultry (chicken).<\/p>\n
