Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The National Bank of Angola (BNA) continues to encourage commercial banks to extend their services to all locations in the country, in order to shorten the distance with customers residing in remote areas.<\/b><\/p>\n

The fact was reiterated, this Wednesday, in Soyo, province of Zaire, by the BNA studies and supervision technician, Miguel Canomba, on the sidelines of the education and financial inclusion day promoted by this financial institution and partners.<\/p>\n

He recalled that BNA Notice No. 18\/2001 sets a deadline of 2023 for the commercial banking network to expand its services to the country’s municipal headquarters, followed by communes and other locations with higher population concentrations. .<\/p>\n

To this end, he explained that, in recent years, teams from the National Bank of Angola and commercial banking carried out verification visits to various municipalities in the country to assess the effectiveness of this aim.<\/p>\n

He informed that the measure appears to bring banking services closer to citizens and, in this way, guarantee the financial inclusion of the majority of the Angolan population.<\/p>\n

The BNA, he said, is promoting education and financial inclusion days in the six municipalities of Zaire province, to address issues related to personal and family budgets.<\/p>\n

Approaches also include aspects of banknotes and coins in circulation, personal finance management, conscious and planned consumption, savings and investment, credit and indebtedness, among other related matters.<\/p>\n
